Writing Marathon with Kevin Gillam

Based upon the ideas of Natalie Goldberg, Writing Marathons are extended slabs of writing time in which a group of writers (prose or poetry) write to a series of given stimuli.

The FAWWA Marathons run for 4 hours (with tea break), and writers compose to given lines, physical cues eg. leaf, shell, pieces of music, a specific theme, or a particular form.

The sessions are a great way to discover freedom in creative writing, and also generate some new starting ideas for prose or poems. Suitable for writers of all skill and experience levels.

Literary high-jinks, music

Location: The Hollow, Tom Collins House & Melon Hill

Bring: - Your walking shoes, climb Melon Hill and watch the sun go down over Swanbourne Beach from the best vantage point in the metro area.

Bring: - Your Life Story in 6 words! There will be prizes for the best stories!

Bring: - Your favourite beverage & $10 to cover light refreshments.

NB: There will be a busy bee 10am on Sunday 7th December in preparation for the party.
